“Governor Joe Lombardo has awarded the Certificate of Recognition to the Battle Born Patriots (BBP) chapter, Nevada SAR, given in acknowledgement of the chapter’s participation in the ceremonial Flag Raising which was held at the Nevada State Capitol in Carson City, to commemorate the national Vietnam Veterans Day of Remembrance, on the morning of March 27, 2026.
The important ceremony was conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 989, in conjunction with the American Legion, and the Office of the Nevada Governor, Joe Lombardo. The governor’s office was represented at the ceremony by Policy Advisor Caleb DeKay, who offered remarks, along with VVA President Susan Malone.
The Nevada SAR color guard members attending were: SAR Western District Secretary Jay Dickey, Nevada SAR President Donn Dalton, BBP Chapter President Jim Linscott, BBP Color Guard Cmdr. Roger Linscott, BBP Historian David Hess, and Signers Chapter Color Guard Cmdr. David Pavey.”
