Liberty Awards Dinner and Special SAR Henry Rifle Raffle

The Battle Born Patriots Chapter of the SAR is honored to present the 3rd annual Liberty Award. We will give a cash prize to the junior or senior high school scholar from Nevada that best describes the responsibilities citizens have to protect the freedoms described in our Declaration of Independence. The Lexington-Concord Edition commemorates the historic events that took place on April 19th, 1775, which sparked the American Revolutionary War. This Henry rifle is built using the classic Henry Big Boy platform, and features the SAR logo engraved on its stock and receiver, with depictions of Militiamen battling British Regulars at the Old North Bridge, in Concord, Massachusetts. The right side of the forearm is engraved “Battles of Lexington and Concord – April 19, 1775”. The left side is engraved “The Shot Heard Round The World”. As befits this pivotal event, this rifle is chambered for the powerful .44 Spcl/.44 Magnum calibers. Its 20” octagonal barrel (1:20 twist) is topped with a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and brass bead front sight. The Henry Big Boy SAR 250th Anniversary Lexington-Concord commemorative edition rifle is the Third of a 10-year Limited Edition series of Henry Rifles, and is sure to enhance the collection of any enthusiast.
