America 250th Reading of The Declaration of Independence

Battle Born Patriots in conjunction with the Nevada Veterans Memorial Plaza (300 Howard Dr, Sparks, NV) will conduct the Nevada reading of the Deceleration of Independence held simultaneously with its reading in all of America on July 8th at 3PM.
On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence inside the Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia. Four days later, on July 8, 1776, after the Declaration was printed and distributed, the citizens of Philadelphia were summoned to the State House Yard by the bells of the city. Then, Colonel John Nixon publicly read the Declaration of Independence.
The premise of ‘Sharing the Spirit of America’ is simple; it is the simultaneous reading of the Declaration of Independence across the country, where Americas are reading the document ‘together’ at the ‘same’ time. Just as the Declaration of Independence was read to the people for the first time on July 8, 1776, now, 250-years later, Americans in all 50 States, 5 Territories, DC, and US Minor Outlying Islands will read the Declaration of Independence ‘together’.
To commemorate this event the Battle Born Patriots Chapter of the Sons of The American Revolution have partnered with the Nevada Veterans Memorial Plaza and America250 Nevada. Nevada’s participation in this national event begins with a flyover by the U.S. Air Force then a reading of the Declaration of Independence that starts promptly at 3:00 p.m. The reading will be presented by members of the Battle Born Patriots Chapter of the Sons of The American Revolution.
